"Karting is our passion and Motorsport is our love",
Grampian Kart Club was formed in 1962 by a group of karting fanatics who just wanted to go racing !, one of our founder members is Lord Seafield who made it all possible for the club to start by providing the ground at Boyndie Drome at Banff, where the kart club was born.
Over the years Grampian Kart Club has evolved from small beginnings with a short 300m circuit to today where we enjoy a circuit in excess of 850m in length, in the early days of the kart club the facilities were very basic just enough to go racing, where lap scoring was housed in a double decker bus, no club house or toilets, the bus was replaced by two twenty foot containers stacked on top of each other. Today we enjoy a purpose built facility with a club house, toilets, showers and kitchen the lap scoring building is now a purpose built block which even has heating !
At GKC we have a vision to become the best karting facility in Scotland and to realise that vision we are supported by an enthusiastic membership which is over 225 strong and we have an even more enthusiastic committee of about 20 people who keep the club alive.
We are working to provide a karting experience that is second to none, we aim to provide a high quality service from a high quality facility for our members and guests to enjoy so that they keep returning for the adrenaline filled experience.
For 2010 Grampian Kart Club have invested in the highest quality prokart fleet anywhere
in the UK, we have a fleet of SodiKart RX 250 karts that can be booked for corporate
or club events, these karts coupled with our 850m outdoor circuit is a great combination
to get your pulse racing, we have over a 90% repeat booking from our corporate client
team building events and our pre-
At Grampian Kart Club we also cater for our friends from Aberdeen and District Motor Club (ADMC) who run two Sprint events a year at the club.
We also cater for the bikers out there where we host a round of the Scottish Supermoto Championship each year in association with the AMA So come along and see us at Grampian Kart Club.
