The following are Classes commonly run at the Boyndie Circuit.

Honda Cadet

uses a 4-stroke Honda engine. The long life engines are low maintenance but have to conform to a technical specification. Most clubs will accept these karts and it is a particularly economic way to get your youngster racing.

Comer Cadet

Uses a 60cc sealed 2-stroke Comer engine. Engine rebuilds have to be carried out by an approved service agent. This is the class used for the premier cadet championships and is run by most clubs. This is the cadet class if you are looking to compete in the top UK championships but it will be more expensive than Honda Cadets.

MiniMax

is the lowest powered class of the Rotax family for 11 - 17 yrs. It uses a restricted 125cc 2-stroke Rotax engine. All Rotax engines are sealed and have a log-book showing the service history. MiniMax always attracts large grids at club meetings and is well supported at other Scottish clubs.

JuniorMax

The engine is the same Rotax 125cc as the minimax without restrictors that are used in MiniMax. It is one of the most powerful junior classes for 13 - 17yrs, with top speed about 70 mph. JuniorMax always attracts large grids at club meetings and is well supported at other Scottish clubs.

SeniorMax

The senior equivalent of Junior Max, with a very powerful 125cc engine that utilises the power valve. This is the biggest class to run at club level and always has large grids. The engine is high revving but is limited electronically and this means lower maintenance. The engines are sealed to prevent unapproved tuning.  As the senior name implies, drivers must be over 16 to compete.

Gearbox

The most powerful class to run at Boyndie with around 45hp & six gears. These karts are for seniors over 16 and not for the faint hearted. Engines are open for blueprinting & tuning.
